COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

COLLEGE OBJECTIVES:

Education Program: High School and Elementary

At the end of the degree program, the students should have:

1. acquired religious amd moral values, desirable ideals, attitudes, habits and skills which make for strength of character
2. acquired a broad background in general education with excellence and competence in selected subject areas for teaching;
3. developed skills in measuring and evaluating students knowledge of the process of growth and development of the child, and apply these skills in selecting learning activities and adapting curriculum content;
4. acquired appropriate classroom teaching methods and classroom management techniques;
5. been able to analyze and interpret (research findings in education and apply these findings in assessing and/or evaluating existing learning situation;
6. been able to carry out on-going studies/action research in the field of education; and
7. developed the values, dignity and responsibility of the teaching profession as well the ideals of Saint Marcellin Champagnat and Mother Mary.
