Campus Ministry – Religious Education (CM-RE) through its pastoral care programs and efforts contributes to the carrying out of the objectives of the Marist Brothers Congregation and of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University.
The goal of Campus Ministry – Religious Education is to form a community of disciple of Jesus, pastorally committed and responsive to the challenges of the time in Mary’s way.
One way of doing this is through the RE Integration Program. Students in this program are given opportunities to integrate life and faith. They are sent to take part actively in various ministries in the parishes, and to respond to the needs of marginalized sectors.
CM-RE is the pastoral arm of NDDU directly under a Director appointed by the President. Those in CM-RE commit themselves to the service of facilitating integral evangelization for the total human growth of the NDDU family, and also to contribute to the church’s mission of transforming society.
Together with all Marist schools in the Philippines, NDDU has redesigned its education system making RELIGIOUS EDUCATION as the CORE of the CURRICULUM. This means that Gospel values are central in the teaching of all subjects, and that we give importance to the spiritual training of all students by integrating value formation in academics, co-curricular activities, programs and etc.
While respecting the religious tradition of each person, NDDU is a Catholic University, and its identity, values, teaching and celebrations reflect Catholic beliefs and practices.
To strengthen religious education as core of the curriculum, with the Gospel and Eucharist central to campus activities.
To provide means and opportunities for students to encounter God through worship and prayer, recollections, retreats, and the Scriptures.
To provide opportunities for students to integrate, life and faith.
To provide opportunities for seminars, workshops and symposia that will enhance religious faith and practice.
To provide students with opportunities for exposure and service to concretize faith realities learned in school
To promote ecumenism (unity among Christians) and interfaith dialogue
To work in collaboration with the parishes of Metro Dadiangas (MEDA) and the Diocese of Marbel.
