Notre Dame of Dadiangas University proudly congratulates Ryan A. Olaybal, MIT, PCpE and Mrs. Ranylene O. Olaybal, MIT on the international publication of their research entitled, “Closing the Awareness–Behavior Gap: A Role-Based Phishing Training Framework for Higher Education.”

Published in the Journal of Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice (JCERP), hosted by Kennesaw State University, United States, the study presents a role-based phishing training framework designed to address the gap between cybersecurity awareness and actual user behavior in higher education.

The research highlights the importance of tailored cybersecurity education in strengthening digital safety and resilience within academic institutions. By focusing on the specific roles and responsibilities of users, the study contributes to the growing body of research on effective cybersecurity training in the higher education sector.
