PRIVACY POLICY FOR UNIVERSITY PERSONNEL

WHAT –We gather your personal information in a variety of ways. Written documents, picture and video images, digital content, and even biometric records may be included. Here are several examples:

  1. Information we gather or produce throughout your employment or involvement with the University. We may collect additional information about you after you join the University, we may also get other types of data from you, such as photographs or films of activities you participate in, through official documentation of such events, or by recordings from closed-circuit security television cameras located on school grounds.
  2. Information that has been given to you without your permission. Your personal information may be transferred to or received by us without our permission. In such situations, we’ll assess whether we have the legal authority to keep the information. Otherwise, if you provide us with the personal data of others (for example, a person to call in an emergency, professional referees), we will ask you to confirm that you have acquired their consent before giving us their information.

WHY –We use your data to pursue our legitimate interests as an educational institution, employer, and/or contracting party, including a range of administrative, research, historical, and statistical purposes, to the degree authorized or required by law.

We believe that processing your data for these reasons is essential for us to fulfill our contractual commitments to you, to comply with a legal duty, to safeguard your critically important interests, such as your life and health, and to carry out public-interest responsibilities (e.g., public order, public safety, etc.), or in the pursuit of the University’s or a third party’s legitimate interest. We recognize that the DPA sets more stringent regulations for the handling of sensitive personal information and privileged information, and we are completely committed to following them.

If we need your permission for a specific use of your data, we will ask for it when the time comes.

  1. Information we gather or produce throughout your employment or involvement with the University. We may collect additional information about you after you join the University, such as your annual physical examination results, and other information that may be used.
  2.  Information that has been given to you without your permission. Your personal information may be transferred to or received by us without our permission. In such situations, we’ll assess whether we have the legal authority to keep the information. If the information is not connected to any of our legitimate interests, we will promptly dispose of it in a manner that protects your privacy. Otherwise, if you provide us with the personal data of others (for example, a person to call in an emergency, professional referees), we will ask you to confirm that you have acquired their consent before giving us their information.

PRIVACY POLICY FOR UNIVERSITY GUESTS AND VISITORS

Welcome to Notre Dame of Dadiangas University!

 

As an institution of Quality Education, we are obliged to value every individual’s privacy and safety when entering the campus. With respect to RA 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, we will make sure that all the given necessary information provided will remain secured and safe after collecting it. Thus, below are the statement why gathering such information from guests and visitors is a must.

WHAT – When entering the premises of the campus, guests and visitors are required to present their identification or any valid IDs to confirm the person’s identity. However, if the individual cannot provide one, logging in to fill out specific information is needed. Everyone with an official ID issued by the university will be required to scan into an ID Scanner, where information is also gathered when a person is entering and leaving the campus.

 

WHY – It is important to gather different information from each individual entering the university to easily track the person to use in a certain evaluation for some circumstances. Also, the university constructs a certain statistic to be used for future advancements.

 

HOW – By making sure that every data is secured, the university provides 24-hour surveillance each day through the use of CCTV Cameras. Aside from that, the university also provides security personnel who physically monitored the entire campus from night and day. Thus, by taking care of your data, we do not circulate and share it with other people or organizations, except when it is mandatory or authorized by the law.
