Notre Dame of Dadiangas University proudly congratulates Dr. Josephine Claire D. Ledda on the international publication of her research, “”Labor Market Integration of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Graduates,”” in the International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science (IJRISS).

The study examined how TESDA scholar graduates of NDDU transition into the workforce, highlighting high levels of employability and technical skills application. It also identified challenges such as job-skill mismatch, limited employment opportunities, employer preference for degree holders, and barriers to sustainable employment. The findings underscore the importance of strengthening industry partnerships, enhancing career guidance and job placement services, and promoting greater recognition of technical qualifications to support graduates’ successful integration into the labor market.

This research contributes to the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting relevant and inclusive skills development, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by supporting employability and productive employment, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strengthened collaboration between educational institutions and industry.
