The study, written with fellow NDDU researcher ๐——๐—ฟ. ๐—๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—. ๐—๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ, ๐—–๐—ฃ๐—”, examined service quality at a university in General Santos City, Philippines. Using descriptive, comparative, and correlational designs, the researchers evaluated service quality across five SERVQUAL dimensionsโ€”reliability, assurance, tangibles, empathy, and responsivenessโ€”and analyzed their impact on student satisfaction.

Gathering responses from 574 students, the study revealed that while the university achieved excellent ratings across all service dimensions, a gap remained between expected and perceived service quality. Despite this, students expressed very high satisfaction levels, with responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy identified as the strongest predictors of satisfaction. Interestingly, tangiblesโ€”such as facilities and equipmentโ€”were found to have a minimal effect when other factors were considered.

The research not only underscores the importance of continuous service improvement in higher education but also offers practical recommendations for enhancing student experiences.

Her presentation formed part of NDDUโ€™s wider engagement in the conference, where seven NDDU faculty researchers showcased their SDG-aligned studies in education, entrepreneurship, human resource management, environmental sustainability, renewable energy, jurisprudence, and internationalization.
