The visit served as a formal presentation of the delegationโ€™s accomplishments and learning experiences during their immersion abroad. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen institutional ties and align NDDUโ€™s internationalization initiatives with regional and national higher education goals.
The discussion formally opened with welcoming remarks from Mr. Danstone Guy P. Dayaday, Education Supervisor II and Internationalization Focal Person of CHEDRO XII, together with Mr. Janreve M. Odango, Project Technical Staff III for Transnational Higher Education (TNHE). Both officials acknowledged the presence of faculty members and student-participants who represented NDDU during the International Educational Trip at HCU, commending the universityโ€™s proactive engagement in global mobility programs.
University officials present during the meeting included the Vice President for Academics, representatives from the International Relations Office, the University Registrar, the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, and the Nursing Program Coordinator. The delegation shared highlights of their immersion, including academic observations, laboratory exposure, cross-cultural learning, and professional exchanges with Thai counterparts.
The meeting was further enriched by the arrival of Dr. Rody Garcia, MDM, JD, Ed.D., whose presence underscored CHEDRO XIIโ€™s support for international academic collaborations and mobility initiatives among higher education institutions in the region. Discussions emphasized the importance of quality assurance, global standards in nursing education, and the role of international exposure in shaping globally competitive graduates.
The courtesy visit concluded with mutual expressions of support for sustained partnerships and expanded opportunities for students and faculty. For NDDUโ€™s Nursing students, the engagement marked not only the culmination of their Thailand immersion but also a reaffirmation of their commitment to excellence, professionalism, and global readiness.
Through initiatives such as this, NDDU continues to advance its internationalization agendaโ€”bridging local excellence with global experience.
