Notre Dame of Dadiangas University proudly congratulates Dr. Lorelyn F. Adrales and Dr. Rue Flora P. Ruiz on the international publication of their research, “”A Data-Driven University Wellness Program for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Using Machine Learning-Based Health Risk Classification.””

The study analyzed the health records of 478 NDDU employees using machine learning to identify cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk and develop a data-driven workplace wellness program focused on prevention, health education, regular screening, nutrition, and stress management.

Published internationally, this research demonstrates how innovation and data analytics can strengthen preventive healthcare and institutional wellness while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
