Officials from the Commission on Human Rights Regional Office XII (CHR XII), led by Regional Director Atty. Keysie M. Gomez, visited Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU) to discuss the proposed establishment of a Center for Human Rights Education (CHRE) at the university.
The CHR delegation met with NDDU President Br. Manuel V. de Leon, FMS, Vice President for Academics Dr. Jose C. Dagoc, Jr., and Dr. Rogen A. Doronila, International Relations Officer.
The initiative aims to promote human rights awareness, research, and advocacy among students, educators, and community stakeholders in Region XII. CHR XII also provided a draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for NDDU’s review.
Both parties expressed optimism about signing the MOA in June 2026, marking a key step toward establishing the Center for Human Rights Education at NDDU and strengthening academic engagement in human rights promotion.
