In celebration of the International Human Rights Week, a forum on Human Rights in the Digital Age: Free Expression, Privacy, and Accountability was held on December 18, 2025, at the Bro. James McKnight Auditorium, with Atty. Keysie Gomez as the resource speaker. Organized in partnership with the Commission on Human Rights, the activity aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 16 and 10.
Atty. Gomez highlighted Republic Act 11313, which addresses gender-based harassment both online and offline, including unwanted remarks, stalking, and online harassment.
The forum was spearheaded by the Political Science Society and the International Affairs Office and was attended by students from the Political Science, Computer Science, and Information Technology programs. It concluded by reaffirming the CHR’s mandate through its four pillars: protection, promotion, prevention, and policy advisory.
