Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU) was among the esteemed private higher education institutions granted Autonomous and Deregulated Status in a prestigious ceremony held on November 24, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Manila. Representing the university at the event were Dr. Jovir Ignacio, Vice President for Administration; Dr. Jose Dagoc, Vice President for Academics; and Ms. Cesa May Andrade, who proudly received the award on behalf of the institution. The conferment, led by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), recognizes private higher education institutions that have consistently demonstrated excellence in instruction, research, and community service. The Autonomous and Deregulated Status grants institutions greater flexibility in curriculum development, the opening of new programs, and the implementation of innovative educational strategies.
