NDDU Opens Doors to Higher Education with a Helping Hand

For many students, the rising cost of a college education can be a major barrier. However, at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU), aspiring scholars don’t have to face this challenge alone. The university offers a range of financial aid programs designed to make higher education more accessible to deserving students, regardless of their financial situation.

Scholarships for Academic Excellence and Service

The Marist Scholarship stands as a cornerstone of NDDU’s commitment to supporting its students. This program offers Php 8,000 per semester to deserving Catholic students, helping to cover part of their tuition fees. In exchange, recipients are expected to contribute 3 hours of service each day in various school offices, allowing them to give back to the NDDU community. To qualify, applicants must show good moral character, come from a financially disadvantaged background, and maintain strong academic performance. This initiative not only eases the financial burden but also fosters a sense of responsibility and community engagement.

Working Toward a Brighter Future

NDDU’s Grant-in-Aid (Working Student Scholarship) reflects the university’s belief in the value of both education and hard work. This program assists students with their tuition and miscellaneous fees while giving them the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Open to those in financial need, the program is designed for students who excel academically and are willing to balance work and study. The focus is on empowering students to pursue their academic goals without the stress of financial constraints, while also equipping them with real-world skills.

Fueling Athletic Dreams

For student-athletes, NDDU offers the Br. Michael O’Keefe Sports Incentive Program I & II (MOSIP I & II), which provides both financial and non-financial incentives. These incentives include tuition discounts and allowances for sports uniforms, helping student-athletes pursue their passion for sports without compromising their education. The program aims to cultivate well-rounded individuals who excel both in the classroom and on the field, instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and service to God, country, school, and community.

A Commitment to Inclusivity

NDDU’s diverse financial aid programs demonstrate the university’s dedication to inclusivity and equal opportunity. These programs open doors for students who might otherwise be unable to pursue higher education, providing them with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally. By offering financial support, NDDU is not only helping students achieve their academic goals but also empowering them to contribute to society in meaningful ways.

In all, NDDU’s financial aid initiatives reflect the institution’s mission to make higher education accessible to all, regardless of financial background. By nurturing talent and fostering a sense of responsibility, NDDU is not just shaping students’ futures but also contributing to the development of a brighter, more inclusive society.
