NDDU Reduces Carbon Footprint with Solar Panels and Energy Investments

Notre Dame of Dadiangas University has made significant steps in reducing its environmental impact through the installation of a 499.5 kWp Solar PV rooftop system in 2017. By tracking its carbon footprint, the university has avoided 2,838 metric tons of carbon emissions, a process known as Technological Carbon Avoidance.

The benefits of carbon avoidance are far-reaching, helping to improve energy-saving strategies. The university’s partnership with ENERGISTO, a German-Philippine engineering team specializing in renewable energy made it possible for NDDU to reduce energy consumption, as well as implement energy-efficient technologies
