The workshop, organized by the ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ (๐๐๐ก๐ฅ) through the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB), gathered representatives from government agencies, partner universities, and research institutions across the country. The event aimed to align national research priorities on biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, and sustainable development.
Dr. Coronicaโs participation stemmed from her designation as Principal Partner Collaborator under the ongoing partnership between ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ and the ๐ฟ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐, ๐๐๐ค๐ฉ๐ค๐ช๐ง๐๐จ๐ข, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ผ๐ฆ๐ช๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐ค๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐พ๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ญ (๐ฟ๐๐๐ผ๐-๐พ) ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ (๐๐๐๐). This collaboration continues to strengthen research and development initiatives in marine biodiversity and environmental sustainability in Southern Mindanao.
During the five-day event, participants engaged in plenary sessions, strategic planning workshops, and collaborative discussions focused on enhancing the operational framework of the DENRโs national research agenda. The outcomes are expected to guide future programs in environmental monitoring, conservation, and policy formulation.

The collaboration between NDDU and DENR XII through the DREAM-C MSRS continues to open opportunities for faculty and students to engage in scientific research that advances sustainability, conservation, and community empowerment.
