Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU) student ๐๐ค๐ฏ๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ค๐ก๐, a BS Industrial Engineering major and active member of Effective Altruism Philippines, successfully participated in the ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ held at the ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ป๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐๐ฒ, ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ, on ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ญ๐ฑโ๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ.

During the two-day program, Sola attended expert-led lectures and workshops addressing biosecurity, pandemic preparedness, mental health innovation, grantmaking strategies, and entrepreneurship for social impact. Sola also participated in the ๐๐๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ, where she engaged with regional leaders and practitioners working to expand Effective Altruism initiatives across Southeast Asia. As a significant outcome of her attendance, she formally joined the ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฉ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐ผ๐จ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐ค๐จ๐๐๐ช๐ง๐๐ฉ๐ฎ ๐พ๐ค๐ข๐ข๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐ฎ and explored a potential partnership with Rethink Wellbeing for mental-health initiatives rooted in evidence-based approaches.
In her report, Sola noted that the conference strengthened her understanding of high-impact fields, broadened her professional network, and provided actionable pathways for contributing to EA-aligned and SDG-focused initiatives. She expressed her appreciation to NDDU for supporting her participation, emphasizing that the experience enhanced her preparedness to engage in future academic and community-driven projects.
